Crowdfunding Campaign to Protect The Stephenville Seniors’ Tree
We plan to fund efforts to reverse the damage already done to the tree and to help it recover.
We plan to fund the expenses via our own contributions plus a local and nationwide crowdfunding campaign. We will be soliciting funds via the GiveSendGo.com crowdfunding web service. GiveSendGo is a leading crowdfunding site that supports fundraising for worthy causes. Unlike some other crowdfunding sites, it supports free speech and fights censorship.
Please consider contributing to The Seniors’ Tree crowdfunding campaign if you fall into any of the following categories of interested parties:
People who love trees, especially photogenic ancient live oak trees
The funds collected will be used solely for the following 2 purposes:
To defray legal expenses if necessary
To fund costs of caring for The Seniors Tree
Any funds that remain after covering the above expenses will be returned to donors on a pro-rata basis depending on the amount of their contributions and our ability to determine a place to send the refund.
Contributions can be anonymous or named, at the donor’s discretion. The fund will be managed by a 3 person board of local Stephenville senior citizens and administered by a retired former Certified Public Accountant reporting to the board.
